Embankment on Pramuka Island is Beautified with Colorful Triangular Motifs

The Seribu Islands Water Resources (SDA) Sub-agency beautifies embankments on Pramuka Island, Panggang Island, North Seribu Islands.

Aesthetically, the embankment will look beautiful

This 186-meter-long embankment is beautified by being painted in shades of colorful triangular motifs.

Seribu Islands SDA Sub-agency Head, Hendri said that painting the embankment on the west side of RT 01/05 to 04/05 Pramuka Island is part of maintenance. Besides being attractive, it is also useful as a lining for embankments for wall resistance.

"The paint color is faded and dirty already. So, we paint again with a different motive. Aesthetically, the embankment will look beautiful when viewed from a distance," he expressed, Sunday (4/2).

He explained the work involved 11 workers and has been ongoing since Monday (3/27). It is targeted to be completed by the end of Ramadan.

Painting the 1.3-meter-wide embankment requires more than five pails of blue and yellow paint.

"I hope the results are satisfactory, thus residents can relax on the edge of the embankment until they wait for the time to break their fast," he hoped.

Wahyudi (38), a resident of RW 05, Pramuka Island assessed that painting the embankment makes the environment cleaner and more beautiful.

"Maybe this can be added with a mural to make it even better and prettier," he stated.
